Salvation & Next Steps

Jesus Christ is Lord. We do not make Him Lord; He is Lord. The question is whether we will believe Him, receive Him, follow Him, and surrender our lives to Him.

Begin With Jesus

Salvation begins with the good news that God has acted in Jesus Christ to save sinners. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We are called to repent, believe the gospel, and place our faith in Him.

Know Who Jesus Is

Acts 2:36, KJV
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

Salvation is not merely agreeing with facts about Jesus. It is trusting the risen Lord, turning from sin, and yielding your life to Him.

Respond to the Gospel

Acts 2:38, KJV
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Repentance turns us toward God. Faith rests in Jesus Christ. Baptism publicly identifies the believer with Christ. The Holy Ghost empowers the believer to live for God.

Walk in Newness of Life

Romans 6:4, KJV
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

The Christian life is not simply a decision made once; it is a life of discipleship. We encourage every believer to continue in prayer, the Word of God, fellowship, worship, holiness, and obedience to Christ.

Take Your Next Step

You do not have to take your next step alone. We would be glad to pray with you, answer questions, help you prepare for baptism, and help you grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
